Investor to build 2 fish plants for 10 bln rbl on Shikotan Island

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, Apr 3 (PRIME) -- An undisclosed investor plans to invest 10 billion rubles to build two fish processing plants on the Shikotan Island, the office of the region’s governor said in a statement on Tuesday.

“A fish processing facility is being built in the Krabozavodskoye village. The launch of its first stage is scheduled for October. And another village of Shikotan, Malokurilskoye, is expected to see construction of another, larger facility, that will produce frozen and chilled fish products, and fish preserves,” the statement read.
